Direct Response Copywriter (Funnels & VSLs)

As a Direct Response Copywriter at Megalodon Marketing, you will craft the words that turn cold traffic into high-ticket customers. You'll write VSLs (Video Sales Letters), webinar scripts, email sequences, landing pages, and ad copy for clients who are spending $10k+/day driving traffic to your funnels. Every word you write is measured by its ability to generate revenue. You will work closely with our strategy and media buying teams to create cohesive campaigns that move the needle for the world's top entrepreneurs.
Must Haves
- 5+ years of experience as a direct response copywriter with a portfolio of successful funnels and VSLs
- At least one VSL or funnel you've written that generated $1M+ in attributable revenue
- Deep understanding of sales psychology, funnel architecture, and conversion optimization
- Experience writing for high-ticket offers ($3K+) and sophisticated, high-net-worth audiences
- Ability to write in a direct, authoritative, and persuasive tone
Nice to Haves
- Experience writing for coaching, consulting, or agency offers in the digital marketing space
- Background in writing for YouTube ads and content advertising creative
- Familiarity with A/B testing copy elements and making data-driven revisions
- Experience working directly with 7-8 figure entrepreneurs and personality brands
Core Responsibilities
- Write high-converting VSL scripts, webinar scripts, and long-form sales pages for high-ticket client funnels
- Conduct deep research on client audiences, offers, and competitive landscapes to inform persuasive messaging
- Iterate on copy based on performance data, testing headlines, hooks, CTAs, and story arcs to continuously improve conversion rates
Expectations
- Within 30 days: Complete onboarding, understand every active client's offer and audience, and deliver your first round of copy for review.
- Within 60 days: Own copy production for 2–3 client accounts. Your VSLs and funnels are live and generating measurable results.
- Within 90 days: At least one piece of copy you've written has demonstrably improved a client's funnel conversion rate or ROAS.
